Castle View Enterprise Academy specialises in business and enterprise. Even the building design reflects our specialism, with its 'retail' street enterprise outlets, hair salon and restaurant.
Our specialist status means that your child will follow the national curriculum and our enrichment programme with a particular emphasis on business and enterprise education. Each student will learn about different aspects of business and enterprise in all the subjects they study. We look forward to sharing our results with you.
Our expertise and links with the local business community mean that we are able to develop the skills of our students to give them a head start as they prepare for the world of work and further education beyond our academy. All students will achieve an enterprise qualification.
During their time at Castle View, all students will study aspects of our specialism and will have the opportunity to enjoy numerous enterprise activities, business links and work placements. We will work with our sponsor, Northumbrian Water, and with many local and national businesses to achieve this.
The brand new two storey building is an enclosed learning environment where students will never need to venture out in bad weather and can stay safe within the academy. The safety, security and comfort of your child will always be of paramount importance to us. We will monitor people visiting and leaving the site and staff and students will use an electronic entry security system. We want everyone to be able to enjoy our magnificent building and have worked hard to make sure people with disabilities can take part in all our activities. The building meets the latest disability standards and has a lift, adjustable desks and special educational needs rooms.
