Career Insight Talks – Barrister

It was lovely to welcome Simon Goldberg back to the Academy. Simon is one of the region’s leading commercial litigators.

Simon spoke to the students about routes into law. He explained the different job roles including solicitor, barrister and judge and also the different areas of law which you can specialise in such as criminal, family and commercial.

Simon explained the challenges which barristers can face and the huge rewards and sense of job satisfaction that a career in law brings.

As you can see from the picture, Simon brought in his court dress to allow students to see what they would look like representing a client in court.
