County Cricket Semi Final

We have some excellent news to start the year.

Our under 15 cricketers were out this afternoon competing in the County Cup Semi-Final (this fell victim of Covid at the start of the summer).

The lads played against a strong Hetton School side who were littered with a plethora of strong club cricketers. It is often the case that our Cricket Academy students have very little success when they join us due to their limited experience. However, as they progress through the Academy they always end up being a very competitive side.

CVEA scored an excellent 143 for 4 from 20 overs having elected to bat first.

The second innings saw Hetton restricted to only 119 for 2 with exceptional bowling from a number of players.

The final is now on Wednesday the 15th of September. Please feel free to congratulate the lads and wish them luck for the upcoming game.
