House Castle Competition Grand Final Winners

Year 7 students at Castle View spent the Autumn Term learning how England was defeated and controlled by William I, William the Conqueror. One of his methods was to build castles. Students learnt how and why castles developed over time. Their homework was to carry out research of a real castle, present their findings of its development and build a model replica of their chosen castle. Pupils could work individually, with members of their family or with a small group of friends – the presentation was then presented to their class. Their classmates voted for the castle presentation they believed was the most detailed and researched. The class winners went through to the Grand Final and gained points for their houses.

The Grand Final was held at the end of January. It was a fine a fine display of winning castles so the judges had a tough decision! However, they chose the following overall Grand Final Winners who have received extra house points, a certificate and superb trophy!
