DofE Expedition

Last week, the Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award expedition was a fantastic achievement for all involved. Students began their journey at Gilsland before trekking along the spectacular Hadrian's Wall, taking time to appreciate the stunning scenery on their way to their campsite at Whinshields.

The first day proved particularly challenging, with students walking for up to 8 hours, requiring determination, resilience, and teamwork. Throughout the expedition, every student dug deep, worked incredibly hard, cooked their own meals, and spent the night in their tents, demonstrating excellent independence and perseverance.

They should all be proud of how they rose to the challenge and supported one another throughout the expedition. Overall, it was a highly successful experience, and every student represented themselves and the school brilliantly. Well done to everyone!
