Y9 Football Match

The Year 9 football team continued their impressive form last night with another outstanding performance (even after most spent the day assisting with the primary football tournament - email about that to follow from Mr Kelly). From the first whistle, the lads showed hunger and determination — first to every ball, strong in the tackle, calm in possession, and clinical in front of goal. Against local rivals - and who were current league leaders - Monkwearmouth Academy, the CVEA boys produced a superb team display and thoroughly deserved their 4-2 victory, which saw us leapfrog them to go top of the league.

As always, the support from staff was very much appreciated and is certainly contributing to the strong performances on the pitch.
