Our intention for students studying the history National Curriculum at Castle view Enterprise Academy is for the students to leave school understanding how the people Britain has been established over the last 1000 years, how people no matter what their background can make a change to society and government, including the impact Sunderland has had on history.
Furthermore, in history we intend students to leave school understanding the impact of people and world events on social, political and cultural change on Sunderland, Britain and the world. In doing this the department intend to equip students with the emotional intelligence to be a productive member of society with a deepened understanding of British values and the implications of life in modern Britain.
Students will use key concepts and real historical interpretations to enable them to investigate about the past and more importantly, make sense of the past to allow students to understand the world in which they live in.
