Unit information
GCSE combined Science consists of six written papers, as does GCSE separate Science Each paper is 75 minutes long and is worth 70 marks (16.7% of the qualification). Students need to answer all questions with good spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Papers contain multiple choice, structured, closed short answer and open response questions. These are offered in Foundation and Higher tiers. This is now a linear course so all examinations are completed at the end of the academic year. You will gain two full GCSE's.
