Information For Parents
The Careers Learner Journey is a visual map of the careers programme at Castle View Enterprise Academy from when students start in year 7 until you leave in year 11.
A student's careers journey includes lessons in PSHE (Lifeskills), employer talks, workplace visits, events with local employers, colleges, training providers and apprenticeship providers. All of these experiences and opportunities allow students to explore different careers, pathways and progression routes and find out more about the world of work. This helps them to make informed and realistic decisions for the next stage of their education, training or employment.
Careers guidance
As part of our careers programme, all year 11 students are provided with a one to one guidance interview with our qualified careers advisor and Careers Leader, Mrs McDermott.
Students in all years can request a careers guidance interview by speaking to or emailing Mrs McDermott (Careers Leader) or by contacting the Careers Team ([email protected]).
Dates and times of careers events including college and sixth form open events are shared via the Academy email, notices on the Careers Teams page and Latest News on the Academy website.
